Famous conductor talks about jazz

Hi!

Well first the interview starts normal, nothing special. Just a conductor for classical music (Name is Bruno Walter). And than he is asked what music he does not like and in the end the interviewer asks him what he thinks about jazz.

Highlight sentence is:"Jazz is a danger because it appeals to the lower instincts of the listener and this is charakteristic for some tendency in our time."

Whach the video of this "expert" in music.

I had a good laughter I must say.

  1. Even without his disgusting German know-it-all accent and tone he'd be a gobshite. Listening to him it's no wonder the sophisticatedness of jazz is beyond him. Or to use his words: If wi spik a lenguitsch wi schut bi ebel tuh lissn tuh wot ader pipl ar se-ing end ripiht it wissaut det andertohn bikaus dis wej it is getting kwait atohnl ...
